Technical Trainer Super Powers

Posted on September 21, 2025

Super heros and super powers are part of our pop culture. You might even say an important part, if you look at their presence. Comic book movies are everywhere. The truth is, super hero movies are churned out from Hollywood on a super sized scale.

Our summers are filled with spin offs and remakes. Our televisions and movie theaters are saturated the latest and greatest adventure. At times it seems like the only category to choose from. There is no escape.

But is there a super power Technical Trainers can use in order to be a super hero? Is there an example we can look to and draw from strength from as we go through the paces of technical training? There sure is, it is the power to articulate. What does it mean to articulate?

Two things. One, the power to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and simple way. A technical trainer is in may ways an interpreter- translating technical into understandable. The ability to explain complicated procedures in simple, down to earth ways is truly a superpower.

Two, the power to communicate these concepts in a customer centric package. It’s about packaging the message, folks. It’s not enough just to articulate advanced technical issues in clear ways, there is another side to articulation.

It is the ability to take those simple explanations and wrap them in a bow for our customers. What I mean by that is to wrap up simple and clear technical explanations in a way that is attractive and appealing to customers. That skill is the mark of a real super hero in my book.

Explanation and Communication- the power to articulate. Now get out there and make this world a better place!

Have a great week!
