Last night I received the gift of a lifetime. My daughters took me to see the play Hamilton at Bass Hall. The play was amazing. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience.
I’ve wanted to see the play for quite some time. I watched it on Disney Plus and I’ve been hooked ever since. It’s my favorite play.
Many years ago in College I read the biography of Alexander Hamilton. I love history and especially American history. Of course, it’s been a long time and the details are kind of fuzzy, but I’m surprised I remember as much as I do. He’s a fascinating Founding Father and certainly worthy of recognition. I’m glad the play came out.
And Hamilton didn’t disappoint. The writing is great, the music is great, the choreography is great and the acting is great. It’s great all around!
I have been asking my daughters to come over and watch the play with me, but they leveled it up, found out it was playing not far from us and got tickets for my coming birthday. So this weekend I’m resting and recovering from the experience, but boy was it awesome!
It was a once in a lifetime gift. Have a great week!
